The Know Your Rights series is an educational collection of short and narrative films which give perspectives on migrant-American families not often portrayed. In addition, the series intends to educate about proper integration information for undocumented immigrants and how to take advantage of their constitutional rights in order to prevent deportation. The films are produced by the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), the largest immigrant rights organization based in California.
America; I Too is the second film in the series following the first short, “Know Your Rights” created in 2007. Over the past decade, the film has been used by organizations as a key educational tool. The video has been seen by millions via YouTube, on international news outlets and has been featured on Spanish language lifestyle television shows worldwide.
